Myers, Ph. D. was appointed Director of Murdoch Center on March 1,
2005. Aleck received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Utah
State University. He has received numerous awards during his
career, including The Fred Keller Award for Excellence in the field of
Behavior Analysis (2002) and the Secretary's Award for Excellence
(1994). His publications have been numerous, and include the
Murdoch Center Program Library and the DD-SNAP, a needs assessment
instrument for the developmentally disabled, both of which are used
internationally. Aleck joined Murdoch Center in 1981 as a Staff
Psychologist, and since that time has served in numerous management
roles of increasing responsibility, from Senior Psychologist in 1985 to
his current role as Facility Director. With his extensive
experience at Murdoch, Aleck provides capable and committed leadership
in the provision of quality services to North Carolina citizens with
developmental disabilities. |
